  • Online Christmas Songbook More than 100 favorite Christmas carols!
  • Amazing Music World Mainly a commercial sheet music site, but they do offer a dozen or so free PDF pieces. Mostly classical (ex: Bach, Mozart, Pachelbel) for a number of different instruments (although they do have a Scott Joplin piece!)
  • Leper's Effects Schematics Not sheet music, but still useful. It's a large collection of articles and "how-to's" on electronic music. For example, "Converting old PA Tube Amps into Guitar Amps", "Flanging Theory", and "Tube Amp Theory for Beginners". Plus, lotsa schematics.
  • Celtic Guitar Music Great source of celtic fingerstyle guitar tab (and standard notation -- good for fiddlers!), plus some free Celtic Harmonica arrangements!
  • American Western Magazine "The Internet Source for Western!"
  • Guitar Site 2000 guitars database. Huge resource for guitar information -- includes: artists, guitars, makers, music, resources, stores, tablatures, and teaching(lessons)!
  • El rincón de las partituras This one looks mysterious and interesting. You'll find MIDI's, PDF, zips, and more from this site. I have to demonstrate my ignorance, because I'm not sure what language the site's in. Many of the words look Spanish, but I'm wondering if it's some South American mix? Anyway, there appear to be many different folk music styles and pieces. If anyone can translate this, I'd love to hear more.
  • The Village Music Project From the University of Salford, "This music project is primarily interested in the traditional social dance music of England - where it came from, where it went to, who it travelled with and where it is now." You'll find both manuscripts and ABC tunes here, plus lots of other related information for this style of music.
  • Good Ear The free, online ear training site. A lot of exercises help You to develop good ears.
  • Jubing's Guitar Compositions I like this! Hand-written (!!) standard notation of original compositions and transcriptions (including Elgar's Salute Damour) for classical guitar!

  • Pentti Laitinen, Finnish Composer Many original pieces (pop, rock, tango) with sheet music and MP3's by this composer from Finland.
  • Michael Bednarek's Classical Music Scores At last count, 82 scores in PDF, MIDI, and Mozart format. Pieces by Mozart, Bach, and others.

  • Chico Buarque One of the most Brazilian composers; you can download .BMP's of many of the original parts of his music. Site is in Brazilian (is that Porteguese?)
  • Peterborough Youth Brass Quintet What, these are high school freshmen! Here are some of the group's own arrangements (arranged by themselves); I don't know if they will cycle the offerings, but right now there's a nice mix ranging from Christmas to Broadway!
  • Frederic Rossille JPG's of half a dozen or so compositions for piano, violin, cello, and even chamber orchestra!
  • Guitar Tabs I get a lot of email's asking for tabs and chord sheets; I normally point folks to OLGA, but Tab Robot is also a great resource with over 350,000 pieces! Remember, piano guys can also use the chord sheets!
  • Free Scores for Classical Guitar and Piano Belgian musician, Marc Lamberg, offers downloads of the scores of his own compositions for classical guitar and piano, including duets and quartets. Also offers MIDI's so you can hear the composition! Site is in French or English (your choice!)

  • Choral Public Domain Library The Choral Public Domain Library (CPDL.org) was begun 2 years ago and it now has ~1800 choral scores listed on it's database, and it is growing by 100-200 scores every month. Over 100 people have contributed scores. The scores are mostly in PDF format, but midi files and notation files are also available for most scores.
